1. About Us
This website, www.caketop.ie, is owned and operated by Edible Cake Toppers Irelnd, trading as CakeTop.ie, registered in Ireland (Company No. 580846).
Our contact email is sales@caketop.ie.
By accessing or purchasing from this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.
2. Products and Orders
All products are edible printed toppers and other related items made to customer order. Each topper is printed individually and may vary slightly in colour or layout from online previews due to printer settings, edible ink variations, and monitor display differences.
As these are custom-made items, once an order has been processed, it cannot be cancelled or refunded except in the limited circumstances set out below.
3. Order Processing & Dispatch
Orders approved before 2 pm (Irish time) are usually dispatched the same working day.
Orders after 2 pm, weekends, or public holidays are dispatched the next working day.
Custom designs requiring approval are dispatched once approval is received.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Friday are dispatched on Monday (or the next working day after a public holiday).
All toppers are sent in rigid “Do Not Bend” packaging via An Post or a comparable postal service.
We recommend ordering at least two weeks before your event.
4. Delivery
Ireland
Standard Post (Untracked): Usually next-day delivery, but please allow 1–3 working days.
UK & Europe
Standard Post: Usually 5–7 business days, but may take longer.
Customers are responsible for ensuring the correct delivery address is entered.
If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, refusal, or non-collection, a new order will be required.
5. Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Due to the perishable and personalised nature of our products, returns are not accepted and orders cannot be cancelled once printed or dispatched.
Refunds or replacements are offered only if:
The product arrives damaged, or
There is an error in wording or design caused by us.
To request a replacement or refund, please email sales@caketop.ie within 7 days of receipt with a photo clearly showing the issue.
We do not issue refunds for:
Postal or customs delays,
Incorrect delivery information provided by the customer, or
Failure to collect the package.
If there is insufficient time for a replacement to reach you, a refund may be issued at our discretion.
6. Product Care & Quality
Edible icing sheets typically last up to 6 months when stored flat in a cool, dry place (out of direct sunlight).
Humidity may make toppers harder to remove from backing sheets; this is not considered a defect.
Colour shades (especially reds, pinks, and purples) may vary slightly from what appears on screen.
Important Product Information:
Edible icing sheets are a thin edible film used for decorative cake toppers. They are fully edible and fit for purpose but naturally have a paper-like texture with mild flavouring. They are not designed to melt in the mouth or taste like frosting or fondant. Thickness, flexibility, and mouthfeel vary by manufacturer and do not constitute a defect. Personal taste preference is subjective and not grounds for refund.
Icing sheets may become more fragile if exposed to cold temperatures. For best results, handle gently and apply to room-temperature buttercream or frosting after removing the plastic backing.
7. Copyright & Image Use
Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use any image, logo, or text submitted for printing.
